History...

... says that in 1948 the prior of the Certosa found the old perfume formulas, under license from the Pope, revealed them to a Piedmontese chemist who thus created the smallest laboratory in the world by calling it "Carthusia" that is "Certosa".

Today

Carthusia has put its centennial knowledge to good use to develop a unique perfume culture in the world. Over the years he has refined his sense of smell education, he has perfected and structured more and more the understanding of the essences to offer those who choose his perfumes the most intense and pure emotions that the senses can grasp.

And today as then, all stages of production are carried out by hand to ensure strict compliance with natural methods and the precious care of making crafts .

The symbol

The symbol of the company was born in 1948, a wonderful liberty work created by the painter Mario Laboccetta.

The icon depicts a "floral siren" that evokes the surreal, mythological atmospheres of the classic Capri heritage. She is a woman who, in the game of her metamorphosis, releases the universe of colorful flowers from which the Carthusia perfumes descend.

A logo that inspires art and nature, in all senses.
